Social Work Scholarship: Eligibility and Application Deadline
The Gordon & June Ito Foundation social work scholarship is open to all social work students who will be enrolling or have already enrolled as graduate students at an accredited public university or college in the State of Hawaii. The Foundation offers two $2,500 tuition scholarships to deserving graduate social work students each year. Applicants are selected based on scholastic record, social work awards and honors, community involvement, personal recommendations, and an essay.
Deadline for scholarship applications is May 1st every year, and scholarships are awarded for the academic year beginning in the Fall.
May 1 – Applications due to the University of Hawaii School of Social Work
May – June – Initial screening of applicants and interviews with finalists
July – Selection and notification of scholarship recipients
